Any Fallout fans?
After reading the Forza thread and commenting that nothing really excites me in gaming anymore, I thought about Fallout and how much I enjoy that game. I played through Fallout 3 and New Vegas both several times and love 'em to death. I was bummed that New Vegas wouldn't let me continue after finishing like the previous version did, but I still dig it.
I hope they keep it single player as I really enjoy the feeling of exploring and accomplishing things on my own. So is anyone else looking forward to the next installment?

Shoot I never go to this section of the forum but I did today. I LOVE Fallout. I thoroughly beat FO3 on my PS3 and then bought it for PC and modded it crazy. I have New Vegas but the gameplay changes kinda of drew me away. I haven't beat it yet but I remember trying to find the parts to power up one of the followers, along with Boone.

If you had the add on packs for FO3, you could continue after beating the game. Not so with New Vegas. That kind of sucks, as I enjoyed exploring the "world" and maxing out my character and doing some serious damage to mutants and deathclaws.

I had 3 FO3 copies, regular release for PS3, GOTY for PS3, and the GOTY for PC. So yeah going back after the ending was great. Every once in a while I will go back to FO3 on my PC [lots of crazy mods, have some serious arsenal, Halo armor, outfits, etc.]. I didn't like New Vegas because the gameplay becoming more complex and not as free roam as FO3 [IMO]. FO3 you could go virtually anywhere during any point of the game and things will be leveled [weapons you come across, enemies, etc.] but in Vegas I ran into a Deathclaw and some wasp type thing that killed me within seconds. I believe I just left the doctor's house in the beginning. Plus the addition of ammo type, weapon attachments made it feel too FPS for me.

Fallout is great. If you like the new fallouts you will probably dig Skyrim as well.

I played Skyrim, but didn't like it as much as I do Fallout. I saw that link about 2299, but some are reporting it could be a hoax as it is registered somewhere in Poland (? I think), and also perhaps registered to Go Daddy. However, my Facebook feed is filling with posts from Fallout in the last few days, which may mean they are in fact goin g to announce something soon. The VGAs are December 6, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I've decided to give Oblivion another go in the mean time.

I am a HUGE Fallout not. Play in on the PC, heavily modded. Loved Oblivion and Skyrim, again both heavily modded.
Damn I miss games like that.
