Engine stalled with High rpm rev

Just finished cam install and tune. Car runs and sounds great. Dyno'ed at 520 hp at vengeance. Been driving wonderful and getting alot of complements.

Well yesterday passed a camaro ss in the parking lot walmart and he said hello in the way two camaro's say hello. lol. So naturally i sad hello back. But car stalled after a few good revs. Started right back up no problem. and only ever done it this one time.

I am stock fuel system e-85 tuned and being 520hp. I'm thinking im bordering the limit and this may be why. Just wanting to see what someone else input may be. I also thought it may just be time to clean my roto filter.

Rotofab
tsp vvt 3 235/239 cam
dod delete
2 inch headers
e-85 tune
borla atak exhaust

there are super charged folk pushing way more power than you without needing to upgrade the fuel system. a quick fix would be to probably bump the idle up a tad. if your air filter is filthy and your running a low loping idle (as people with cams tend to do) you can starve the engine for air when it drops back down to idle.

Giving it a good cleaning as we speak. See if that helps.

I think I need more air is the issue not fuel. Spark plugs look like good even mix. Think after throttle is punched and closes, just not enough air. So may need to upgrade throttle body and manifold.

Did you share this with Mike? This is most likely a tune issue. No need to change throttlebody and intake to maintain an idle.

+1 this should be easily fixed with your tune.

It's more then likely a tune issue, but I wouldn't ever install a cam with a fair amount of overlap and expect the engine to behave like stock again either. The cam you selected has 5 degrees of overlap, and while that isn't a ton, it's still on the edge where idle tuning takes a little more work and potentially a few revisions to get right. Welcome to that cam Lyfe!!

I emailed them. It's not a huge deal. It rarely does it. Only if I rev real hard. Other then that its normal. But may take it back have them smooth it out. #Camlife. Lol
