My rental car for the next two days!
I always rent from AVIS and travel most of the year. I got to my rental lot this afternoon and had an email confirmation for me to get into a Malibu in spot B11.
When I went to the spot, there wasn't any car. As a matter of fact, there weren't really any cars nearby either. So I went to the desk and looked at the digital display and it still said B11 for me. Off to talk to somebody. Going up to the window, the guy looked like he was having a rough day. I explained what was happening and then told him that there was a red Camaro that looked identical to mine and that I knew how to drive them... LOL.... as a joke. He gave me that car at normal car pricing.  It's a Red Hot 1SS with sun roof. It feels sooooo slow to me, though.

Slow? Because it’s a rental. Used and abused. Everyone who’s driven it before you hasn’t exactly driven it like grandma.

I rented a few 1SS's from budget recently...Three main reasons it "feels" slower IMO is -
1 - Like the other member said it can be used and abused. 2 - It doesn't have NPP like yours and no real sounds coming from the exhaust which makes it feel slower. 3 - The crappy cheapest gas is put into the cars by renters and the rental companies. |

The cheap gas will make it slower. Do you think the rental companies can put some kind of restrictor to make the car slower?
