Need new tires

Its about that time to get new tires. Which tires would you guys recommend. I have stock 20s and the goodyears on now. I need something with better grip. I was looking at the toyo's R888rs. Currently I am at 670 rwhp. Any better options that wont give me much spin?

Nope, the R888R is the way to go. Scary in the rain but amazing in the dry.

YES BUT....noisy tire for everyday driving! For track use only for me.

Otherwise the Michelin PS4 tire is a VERY good tire for all applications; the street being best suited, does really well in the rain and can hold its own on a race course. I have experienced all three elements.

Continental Extreme Contact Sport tires are good too! I had a set on my 2016 2SS which is comparable to Michelin Super Sport tires and if I could have bought a complete set back in April they would be on my 2017 ZL1 instead of the GY F1 3 supercar tires like came on the car which I could buy/find a set of front and rears.

How do the ps4 hold on prepped surface. My main concern is wheel spin, I want to avoid it as much as possible while being able to hit WOT. The goodyears have not been good to me in this scenario. On the other hand I am in Florida so during the summer it rains like every other day. How bad are the toyos on wet surfaces?

The Toyos or Nittos are the way to go for traction and the hp you have!

What size do you recommend in the rear, the original 305 or should I go wider to the 315's? I believe I read somewhere that they fit without a problem.

315/30/20 for sure. Itll fit the wheel without any issues. You might have to move the rear wire harness. This is very easy and can be done in less than 45 minutes total including the time it takes to place the jack under the car, take off the wheel, remove the inner liner, move the harness, and then place everything back.

I have 325/30/20 R888R on BC Forged 20x11.5 wheel. I love them.

It was stated earlier that these tires are more for the track and this is partly true. These are my street tires as I have a few cars to drive so its not my daily. If it was my daily then I would have done PS4S tires. Now since traction was my ultimate goal the TOYOs were the way to go.

New stockers. I've done this twice - once on my old SS 1LE and then on my ZL1. New SuperCar3's are phenomenal.

+1, tire was designed for this car. Every tire is a compromise. Stock GY F1 SC3s are a great tire. Track the tire and drive it on the street. Really, what more could you ask for?

I don’t like the SC3s on the street and I’ve been vocal on here about that. HOWEVER, on the track once they heat up they are excellent. I already have a new set ready to go on before spring.

They are a barely street legal tire and is truly meant for the track.

It is a great tire, on the track, but not on the road.
