From the pic, it looks like Mary, the Head of Advertising, The President of GM Performance, and The President of North American Operations are having a high level meeting about it.

Looks competitive to me. Both C&D and Motortrend got similar results for the GT500 vs. ZL1.

My prior comment was primarily referring to the models that sell in significant volumes (LT & SS). The performance on those models are very competitive compared to the competition and those are the ones GM needs to sell a lot of.

If the SS had 485hp instead of 455, I don’t think the sales would change much.

I too love the old houndstooth interior. Very classy, old school look that is timeless IMO.

Dodge hasn’t changed much other than offering the redeye. That is a very overpriced option but still cool.

I love the ZL1 both LE and otherwise, but here’s what Dodge Challenger has on the Camaro:

1) power dollars. The Chevy rebates stink- especially given their market position.
2) challenger offers many more options to customize/ personalize.
3) color selection- far more options/ changes there. Why get away from bright yellow and Rally green? Does it really cost that much more to supply a greater range of colors? Why no interior options in that regard.

I think Chevy placed all their eggs in the Corvette basket... Camaro has been chosen to wither on the vine. If they make it electric, it will die. Just my opinion.

look at the hp per lb and the rear gears in each then the hp and the mph at the trap from that data and you surely don't think the camaro is competitive in the 1/4 when traction is not an issue.

Camaros weren't built for the drag world apparently.

IF traction is not an issue, I agree. But I’d say LT and SS sales are much more relevant to this discussion than the ZL1/ZL1 1LE vs GT500.

^ This post, and the last statement sums it all up. Cooldawg is on point with his electric comment as well IMO. Personally I don’t think the electric thing will happen, but if it did, it would just be the new way to spell doom for Camaro.

I love Camaro, and am happy I’ve got my keeper, but the signs are all there.

I also don’t understand why a wider selection of colors is so difficult. Pool the orders for lower volume colors and run them in batches.
