Drag Visit: Got a Dud...

3 passes at near sea level track - best of 13.07 @ 106 mph with a 2.09 60 foot.

No codes, no discernible misses, traction control(s) off, 1/3 tank of fuel, power/no lift shift, at redline.

Just passed 5000 miles and all stock.

Car should be much closer to 12.4 @ 116 mph even with me driving it.

This is the same car that lost ~30 mph on the front straight of PBIR last month...

Dealer stated I had a tank of bad gas.

The fun begins to convince them to repair the issue.

The goodness...I've always felt the car is slow...this confirms it! Heck a new 4 cylinder turbo 6Gen Camaro was equaling my time with E85 and downpipe!

Nope Your times are fine. Not to be mean but you need driver mod. I assume this is the 1st car you have taken to drag strip correct? Those are the numbers they run in Cali with better sea level than Florida. You just gotta keep working at it.

Not looking at the time, but just the mph, and that's pretty poor.
Time is usually an indicator of the driver and mph is an indicator of the car.

From the drag strip thread.
Bone stock 1LE.

You are down at least 50hp and maybe as much as 100hp going by the mph.
Your 60' is closer to the quicker car, but you run the time of the slower car and have less mph than either by at least 5 mph.
Something's up.

Providing your 3 timeslips would help if you are asking for opinions.

You know, I've always thought that the first 1LE I test drove felt a lot more powerful than the one I bought.... I shrugged it off thinking I may be crazy/ paranoid. This kind of makes me think it even more.... well either way my car is in the shop getting a brand new engine because GM is tired of trying to figure out what was wrong. Maybe it was a bad apple from the get go without the injector/pushrod/valve failure/bending? I guess I'll see soon with the good old butt dyno....

You have a 1LE dude... not a regular SS. It is not meant for the drag strip nor built for ut and the poor times will reflect that. 285s up front are not helping either.

his trap times are too low, that is the issue he is worried about. Like one of the gentle sirs said in the previous comments.

what was the humidity like? High humidity makes my car run slower. My 2011 SS with auto would run a half second slower because of the humidity. Same with this 1LE.
