Good morning Becky!

It's the start of a great day! Drove the Super Bee this morning. Enjoyed every minute of it! The Grand National has a battery issue to remedy before a busy upcoming week.

So you are saying the computers are all loaded with how to build each car this soon before actual production starts? Do you know how many days of production are loaded and ready before it starts? I find this interesting....

When an order is at this status
...all parts necessary are available to complete the build.
The days are a moving target in production.....

Each part is available - at just the right time...
It is amazing to watch...

With the concept of on time delivery, the parts for your car are ordered weeks in advance so suppliers can have the specific parts ready to sequence at the assembly plant. Your chosen interior, options, wheels specific to what you ordered in the correct combination meet up with your vehicle as it assembled. There is no large stockpile of parts to build with. So if your car is at 3400 all the corresponding parts are available and sequenced into production for sometime during your TPW week.

So this doesn't necessarily mean my car would be built the first day of TPW 8/20, it just means cars that have an 8/20 TPW have a slot for the week somewhere that week...

TPW = Target Production Week

One day ...that week.
