Best Air Intake?

Sorry if this has been already answered and new to the group. Just bought 2018 Chevy Camaro 1LT 2.0L Turbo. Looking to get a air intake. Which one is good to get. I’ve see some that are open and others in boxes. What’s the difference with those? I’ve been used to getting open air intakes. Also I can’t seem to find any for 2018 model only 16-17. Will the 2017 ones fit in the 2018?

They should all fit the 2018 i don't see an engine bay difference. As for best it's all in what you want the closed box will net you the same as an open box but you'll get less heatsoak with the closed box. Also with an open box you'll be able to clearly hear the turbo recirculation system.

Thanks, it’s been awhile since I had a somewhat performance vehicle LOL. I live in Florida and it’s always hot and rains. Wonder if closed box would be a better bet. I was considering getting the Momentum GT Pro 5R Cold Air Intake System but I hear mix reviews about them and there are 2 different models, one says Dry.

An aftermarket CAI will net you zero gains on the stock tune. Save your money unless you plan to get a tune.

It will net you zero gains over the stock crank numbers paired with a downpipe it will however open the powerband more then using the stock intake and downpipe.

Dry in my opinion will always be better then wet filters because of the oil fouling the MAF potentially. A closed intake will likely benefit your environment better but with all the critters in florida I'd check the box regularly for nests.

I'll always recommend ZZP for parts for our cars. They have yet to really screw anybody. They had some issues awhile back with their intakes but recalled ALL of them and replaced ALL of them

There's a few issues with their parts. But their customer service is awesome when shit fails.
