Craigslist Flaggers are a pain
There was an add on my local Craigslist for someone selling some 2010 Camaro Pirrelli tires for $250. Ya cheap. I am interested. But I want to see if it is legit. But when the add pops up, it has been removed for flagging! I can only guess. They think it isn't legit becuase its cheap!
I am selling a car right now on there. No links to the outside. Just some description and verbiage. I get it flagged out every hour or so.... How do I work around this? |

Make sure to post a price and post a phone number instead of the craigslist email address, I have guys call me all the time for the parts I'm selling.

Unfortunately craiglist has no real guarantee of selling a vehicle, esp if you're getting it flagged for whatever reason it may be. DO NOT post your # unless you want people getting your number and spam calling it day in/out just to give you a hard time or breathe extensively heavy into the phone.
Your prolly better off posting in recycler.com or autotrader.com where at least the ad is listed and wont be taken down for bs reasons.

Craigslist has its good days and it's bad days...
Sometimes I think there are losers that just stay home all day and flag ads for no reason...

I tried to sell my truck (2003 S-10) for about a month on Craigslist and got nothing but spam E-mails and aggravation. I finally ponied up the $60 for an Autotrader ad and sold it in less than a week.
I think Craigslist works better if you're selling a beater (<$3000) car than if you're selling a good car. If you're looking to sell something worth more than $10,000, than pay for a decent ad. Oh, and if the price is way too good to believe on Craigslist, like $250 for a set of Pirelli tires, it's a scam. That reminds me: I need to update what vehicle I drive on my profile. |
