I also hate how Ford has packages that seem to omit things that should be obviously included. The "Performance" pack missing Recaros and Magneride is aprime example.
But I will say that the GT Premium with 401A, Magneride, GTPP, active exhaust, and Recaros is $60k delivered. while a 3.0 Supra GR Premium doesn't even offer Recaros or any handling improvements over the "base" 3.0, also it's Brembos, like the S550, are front only form what I can tell and it'll cost you $58k delivered. I suppose it all comes down to the buyer "picking their own poison" when buying from this ever shrinking segment.

And I agree, the Camaro is an amazing value buy. But for those who enjoy a new car every few years, what's their option post MY 2024? Seems to me that this will be a massive alienation of those buyers. Even those who are willing to settle for a "lightly" used or "not abused" used option will only find ever fewer and fewer examples as the years go by. The loss of the Camaro and the Challenger as options is a HUGE loss for the segment.

My issue is that after you add a few options to the Dark Horse Premium, the price is almost $70K. I was going to get one to add to my garage but that would be more than what I paid for my ZL1

You can definitely add the dealer markups for the Dark Horse models! One thing Ford could have done was what Chevy did and loose 200 to 250 lbs from their mustang models. 3500 lbs with 500 hp for $70K would have looked reasonable then!

Apparently, FoMoCo has GT500 mules out and about already for the S650.
Seeing the other models all showed increases for '24: EB + $3370, GT +$3370, and Dark Horse vs Mach 1 +$1620. Going with the higher of the two increases and the '22 GT500's MSRP+dest of $80,815, the entry cost for the '25 GT500 will likely be around $85k and verts on the Ford side is a $5500 option, that'll put a GT500 vert at pretty much $91k. . . to start. https://fordauthority.com/2023/04/s6...-spied-photos/

Well then.
S650 Ford Mustang Raptor On Track For 2026 Debut: Report https://fordauthority.com/2023/04/s6...-debut-report/ https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a4...ustang-raptor/ Both ^ posted TODAY... not the 1st. C&D does provide a few details regarding what we can expect from this more affordable Porsche 911 Dakar rival: • powered by a naturally-aspirated 500 horsepower version of the 5.0 Coyote. • no manual transmission will reportedly be available – just the 10-speed automatic. • no two-speed transfer case, will utilize electronically controlled center differential. • Fox Live Valve dampers • two-inch lift, beefier springs, skid plates, fender flares, and all-terrain tires. • Pricing will reportedly start out at around $90k. I still can't help but think this is an overly delayed April Fool's joke that someone missed their chance to post and just figured they'd post it anyway. But, given the existence of the likes of the Porsche 911 Dakar and the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato, who knows these days?

Also, it annoys me when articles refer to the S650 Mustang as "all new". "Updated" would be more accurate. Saying it's all new makes anything they say not very credible in my mind, further evidence this likely isn't a GT500 test mule. Because the flimsy S550 chassis can't handle the torque. I'm not making this up. Throttle House drag raced a supercharged convertible (I think it was a Shelby American model) and twisted the chassis and broke a trim piece during the racing.

2024 Mustang MPG (as per National Resources Canada) released, showing why the 5.0 equipped models will be receiving a "Gas Guzzler Tax":
• 2.3 EB – City 22 / Highway 33 / Combined 26 • 2.3 EB PP – City 21 / Highway 29 / Combined 24 • 5.0 GT A10 – City 15 / Highway 24 / Combined 18 • 5.0 DH M6 – City 14 / Highway 22 / Combined 17 They did not have numbers posted for the GT with the M6 or the DH with the A10 listed. But I imagine they're similar to the other V8 equipped models. Compared to the current Camaro lineup: • 2.0T A8 22/30/25 • 2.0T M6 19/29/22 • 3.6L A10 18/29/22 • 3.6L M6 16/26/20 • 6.2L A10 16/26/20 • 6.2L M6 16/24/19 • 6.2SC A10 13/21/16 • 6.2SC M6 14/20/16
