Race ramps worth every penny! I only spent $200 on amazon. You only need the 56" one piece or 2 piece for $230 if you choice. If there is a $400 version that would be a waste

Yes, there are many different styles and prices of Race Ramps. The ones you have are in the 7" range for height. I'd like to get the car up to close to 10" so I don't have to French kiss the oil pan while I'm working. The 6" Rhinos I have were under $40.00. It's just a little strange that beyond 6" in height you have to pay $100.00 more per inch of height. |

I also use a mirror to watch my tire go up the ramp, as an added safety precaution. A $7 walmart mirror does the job. Here is what I see from the driver's seat.

Clever man...I didn't think to put my boards under the ramps just leading up to works just as well, for me. Like your mirror idea!!!

The mirror picture isn't that great, but it looks much clearer in person and you can watch your tire roll up the slanted part and know exactly when it is on the flat part. The Rhino ramps do not have a whole lot of extra space on the flat area, nor is the lip at the end very big, so one has to be pretty careful not to go too far, which I bet would be an expensive mistake.

The Rhino ramps won’t work with a ZL1 as it’s lower than an SS. When I had my 2016 SS I used boards to drive up on the Rhino ramps because of the brake cooling deflectors. I’m thinking about Raceramps too for my ZL1 and still can use the others for my 1500 Silverado truck.

The Rhino's wouldn't work up front due to the splitter on the 1LE. Yes, I could have dicked around with 2"x6"s here and there and got her up off the ground. I said screw it, and purchased the 10" high race ramps. At 10" high you could have sex underneath the car. Lol. Now, I'm not stressed out about lifting the car or probably any other car I get in the future that is low to the ground just to do a quick oil change. "Make Oil Changes Great Again" And, I mean Big. Really Big oil changes. |

I used my Rhino ramps once to change my oil and decided it was not for me.
Saw a sale on Quick Jack at Costco, and did the purchase...Best jack other than a 2 or 4 post lift imo. Yes it costs more than ramps, but you can do more with them too!

Beat me to it.. on the Rhino not working on the ZL1. Mine haven't been used since 2012 for that reason.
Race Ramps are pretty damn light which is nice though. The $230 lower versions work great for trailer loading but I'm with you on the oil change and 400 bucks. I just buy my own oil and take it somewhere I can watch closely. Love the mirror idea and putting the Rhino on the wood. |

I use the plastic ones from Harbor Freight but remove the air deflectors before driving up.

How hard are they to remove? Are they bolted in place, or what?

And if that's the case, one shouldn't own this type of vehicle in the first place. |
