I had no idea a GT mustang is faster then an SS?

I have been waiting 3+ years for a review any single independent review that shows me a faster time than what has been published for the GT, nobody in here can because it doesn't exist, the excuses have been entertaining to read though. Maybe you have some secret Chevy test review data you would like to share. Equipping the 2018 with the A10 didn't get it done. Prove me wrong. Presently it is Challenger 1320, Mustang GT A10, and Camaro SS A10 bringing up the rear.

I'd still take the Chevy any day. It's just the better platform.

I guess I am in the minority. Sure, I'm a car guy, but I will always by the Camaro or Corvette over a Mustang or a Challenger. As a Chevy guy, cross shopping doesn't even cross my mind. Could the ZL1 use more power? Maybe, but if you need it to have more power, there is always the aftermarket.

When it comes right down to it, the Alpha platform is superior.

Thanks - I thought I was clear that I appreciate both the Mopars in question AND the ZL1...but it seemed like that point was clearly ignored.

Oh well, as Blaq said, the Hellcat on stock tires can't really put full power down until past 400-500'...similar to the ZL1 on stock tires.

Better platform I will agree with you on that Chevy did a great job, styling IMO the nod goes to the GT and Challenger.

Over the ZL1? Not a chance. The ZL1 look a lot better, to me, than the dated barge and the little horse.

I am surprised there haven't been any new spy shots posted of Camaro's. Is anything planned? With the roll out of the C8, are they forgetting us Camaro enthusiast?

I don't think you'll see any more updates to the current generation Camaro -- even though it could use an interior update.

Presently it is Challenger 1320, Mustang GT PP1 A10, Camaro SS A10, Camaro SS M6, Mustang GT A10 (w/o PP1...the most common configuration btw), Mustang GT PP1 M6, Mustang GT PP2, and Mustang GT M6 bringing up the rear.

You haven't seen tests of non-PP1 or non-PP2 Mustang GTs because reviewers aren't interested in testing the "base" Mustang GT. Which is the Mustang GT most prevalent on the street.

I give the PP1 A10 its due, but it does not magically improve the performance of every Mustang GT. And I have shown before that most Mustang GTs on dealer lots are base GT with M6 or A10, NOT PP1. If you buy the RIGHT Mustang GT (GT*, hat tip to hotlap) you'll be faster than Camaro SS. But most people don't buy that one.

Another interesting note....there is a thread on M6G where a guy is contemplating getting rid of his 480 hp Bullitt because he has trouble breaking 13s at Milan Dragway. I run my car at Milan quite often. BONE STOCK (until the next time I run. I'll have CAI when I run next week). I consistently run 12.8. I know, I know....not same day, same driver etc. But we're talking a 480 hp coupe compared to a 455 hp convertible. It shouldn't even be close.

Challenger / Charger Scat Pack fits in there somewhere. Not sure where, but I may find out next week. My buddy plans on bringing his Charger Daytona Scat Pack to Milan with me next week. Hopefully he's not wearing Nittos by then.

The Camaro only has a better platform if you plan on taking to a road course what does it do better than the Challenger or Mustang, looks are subjective I prefer the Challenger and Mustang over the Camaro.
