Nice solution! I was a zip-tie guy Im still holding out for the Gen5DIY kit that will push the fenders out a bit. This is the same idea though, nice work.

How bad is the wheel liner gap? I assume pushing the fender out will make the wheel liner come up short at the bottom?

I wanted to post my results using your write up. I followed it closely and it worked great! The only thing I did differently was rather than going down thru the fender with the plastic clip. I mounted the clip to the side skirt and went up thru the fender. Thanks for your help! This should definitely be a sticky!
