That Hodrod test (video) illustrates perfectly how unserious they were about maximizing the ET. Look up the video and go to time mark 4:00

I would have loved to see them test it, because they just go to the drag strip, run it and post the times they get. And when they have done the Mustang and Challenger they did it at GLD. Not some mineshaft air track, not a high elevation but about as average of a track as you can get. They even mentioned the Mustang was slower the second time because of the weather being more hot and humid. That to me is a real world test. I would have loved to see them do that for the ZL1 as well because there is no trickery, no pulling weight no max effort just go run it.

Then the ZL1 proved itself in 2017. And even now the competition still has catching up to do. So that shows just how far ahead of the pack the Camaro was. There were YTers hitting 11.8-11.9 in bone stack Camaros. And after 4 years they are still the benchmark for performance. If the Mustang is the fastest or if the Camaro is the slowest then all of that is in only one area (quarter mile), it isn't by much (1 tenth maybe), and the Camaro has more performance, features, and capability (coolers) than the competition. And all of that at a similar price. So fine, the Camaro is the "slowest" in the quarter mile, lol!! Ok. Sure.
As I mentioned above I would have liked them to test it just because their testing to me is more real world than other publications that use correction factors.
