The thing about the HPFP, it only becomes an issue when you start going lean from commanded AFR. Its a balancing act between Inj duty cycle and fuel pressure. Cooper knows. Safe estimate is 400-420hp If you add meth its higher. I got my LPFP from 52-54 up to 70-75 and it made absolutely no difference in the HPFP psi falling off. So you either need a cam change or new HPFP when you start going lean without meth. Eventually as HP grows, HPFP, LPFP will both need upgrades.

we have had the kit installed the exact same way on a 16 and 17 since last year, and neither work. i took apart the 17 today to double check all of my wiring, and its all correct, it just flat out doesnt do what its told :(
Have you tried swapping an ‘18 e80a into a ‘16? Is that even possible with different service #s?

Different OSs in the 18s.

There's two different ECU's for the 2016...one discontinued and one that isn't...How to tell the difference other than looking physically I have no clue....However, I also think that the late model ECU could potentially have the support

However, if I can find a salvaged car here locally I'm planning to rip out the ECU and flash it to my car's setup and see if it's a direct plug and play with a reflash.

Been doing some research and came to the same conclusion you have - there is a new revision of the '16 ECU. Service # 12668437 is the new one.

Fortunately, the things are dime a dozen on fleabay, I bought one for $36 and also bought a 2018 E80A for $65 (only a single # for the '18s - 12687467). Pulling out the MDI and GDS tomorrow when i get a moment and intend to see what I can program. Going to start with the revised '16 first, and see if FlexFuel works, then moving on to hacking in the '18 if not.

ok new here but not to the car world. I dont have a Camaro but i do have a 2018 Cruze with the same E80A ECM. Being a turbo 1.4L, I pulled a log and it isnt running any timing or using any injector (11% IDC max). So I am curious on what pin I tie the Flex Fuel sensor into on the ECM. I have done this on Corvettes with the E38 ECM and have been successful. I was wondering if you know what pin to tie into on the E80A ECM?

Post it or pm it to me and ill run a comparison

Great Project Cooper. I want to look into it sometime. W/M has my attention for the time being. We could crowd build a 500 hp drag car some day.

Thanks, I was going to have flex fuel one way or the other when I bought my car, this Thread ensued.....

Its crazy going back to the beginning of this thread, and knowing how much information has changed on this platform in just over 1 year. .. Most notably, the availability of flex-fuel for Everyone.. It is my absolute honest opinion, on E85, the LTG will withstand more abuse, at a safer level, and actually last Longer, while making more power than an ALL things equal 93 octane car. So I am very glad for this recent development. Should be very first mod for anyone tuning, with E85 pumps locally available.

Cooper are you still running your car with stock engine internals? I'm switching mine over for E85 with modified tune right now while also adding a slightly bigger turbo. With the stock parts my power starts dropping off after 4700rpm, I'm needing more rpm.
