The Continental Extreme Contact Sports are good summer tires too and a little cheaper than the Michelins.

You gotta get that "not putting AS tires on this car" mentality out of your head (I used to have it, too). In cool or cold weather the AS tires will grip better than any summer tires, PS4S included (which are actually pretty terrible in the cold - personal experience with them). I put Continental extreme contact all seasons DS06+ on the ZL1 and the improvement in grip is night and day over the OEM Goodyear SC3 in cold weather and better than the Michelin Pilot Sports on my Supra, and way better than the PS4S that were on my 2018 Mustang GT. Sure, in my area from June through early September the upper limit won't be as high, but how often are you actually pushing near 1g in turns? On the street, it should be never. So, you'll never realize the difference between a great AS tire and a summer tire, and you can reap the benefits in cool and cold weather.

I had both the Michelin AS3 AS and the BFG Comp 2 and to me no comparison in terms of grip even on the street vs a good summer tire here in southern NC. Sure in December to February you have to watch it some, and my performance cars stay put on cold days. We get a lot of warm and warm sunny days.

Are the tires you are comparing the same width?

IMHO... there are some good all season tires out there, but anytime I experience AS - its crap or worse than summer or winter tire. For RWD high power car compromises are dumb.
Have Primacy AS on Stinger - AWD car, so acceleration is incredible, until you hit brakes on snow... It slides like all season tire. I put Pilot Alpin 5 (winter high performance) on Camaro and I am only scared about foot of snow.

Warm climate, that makes sense. Not that cold and when it is cold it's probably not for very long.

Tires are the same size and width. There's no comparison between the OEM Goodyears and my Conti DS06+ A/S in the cold. Once the Goodyears had some temp in them, obviously, they were excellent.

Question: Why not just stick with the OEM Goodyears when it comes time to replace? They are less expensive than the Michelins, and better performance tires, and provide better steering feedback. They don't last as long, but that is somewhat offset by the lower cost.

In Idaho, it's below 50 deg F for a large portion of the year. Talk about compromise - summer tires are a HUGE compromise in cold weather. The Continental DWS06+ tires are much better than summer tires in the cold. I don't drive the ZL1 in snow or ice, so I don't see why I'd need true winter tires.

That's my plan. I'm sticking with the Goodyears. Sure, might not last as long tread wear wise, but it's a better ALL around tire than the Michelins. Guy I work with has the Michelins now(after the OEM Goodyears) and he said he's switching back to the Goodyears next replacement. He likes the performance and feedback from those better.

Wet weather. the PS4S are MUCH better in the rain, and we can get some rain.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S FTW! 305/30/19 square on my Z/28 and they work fantastic on the street and even performed well during my attempt at Auto X even in low 40 degree temps. They will look/work GREAT on your vert.

Here where I am in Maryland temps during the winter can get to the 20's and lower. Not much snow or ice to worry about, and if it is out there I don't take my Camaro out anyway because of the salt. Love having my DWS06+. Don't have to think about what the temp is and whether my tires will crystalize or crack like with the OEM summer tires. I can drive year round, no worries. I don't track, and on the street these tires do all that I can ask of them.

The PS4S strike a good balance on the street and are arguably the best all around tire, but at ~ $2,000 per set you pay for it. The factory Goodyears are better on track but I don't like them on the street, ~ $1,450 a set now. As mentioned, the Contis are pretty good as well and you can save some money, ~ $1,280 a set.

I decided to go with aftermarket rims from apex. VRS-5 rims in the same size as 1LE. 19x11 front and 19x12 rear. With that I stuck some big ole’ 345/30/19 cup2’s on the rear and some 305/30/19 cup 2’s in the front. I live in Ohio and my car doesn’t see rain or snow. I only pull it out in cooler weather to run it easy until actual summer shows up here…. Hopefully. Lol. But, I’m also planning massive power mods to the car so I want the fattiest bits of rubber I can fit. My car loves the grip and it picked up about 8-10hp due to the rims being soooo much lighter than factory. I’m going to end up putting some AS tires on the factory rims for the spring/ fall weather cause the cup 2’s are like riding on plastic hot wheels tires in lower temps…
