My 4th Gen6 Camaro

I am an old dude but still able to appreciate a fast Camaro, so I bought my 4th Gen6 Camaro on Saturday. Newer Camaros used or new are pretty hard to find in my neck of the woods, so I had to drive from my home in Paris, TN to Birmingham, AL to pick this one up. It would have been easier if I were willing to accept another color, but I fell in love with the Sharkskin grey...it's beautiful!

It is a 2023 LT1, 10 AT with options that I like, especially the 20 inch black wheels. I can't wait until the break-in period is over and I can punch it...lol. So, here's a pic of it.

I had three 6th gen's so, I understand. I still have a soft spot for them but, I think I bought one too many as is. Congrats on your new purchase and I hope you enjoy it.

It’s great to see you back! Your new ride looks great! I’m still rolling with my original 2016. It’s now 7 years old with 39K miles and it’s running as strong as ever.

The color is awesome, I must agree. Quite different than all my other cars. I used to think grey is for old folks, but not that I'm old, I think it's awesome!...lol.

Last one? I remember saying that on my second Gen6...lol. This is my 6th new later model Camaro...had two 5th gens...lol.

Yep Paris TNDude, it will be most likely my last one. I will be 65 next month and looking to retire from corporate America probably next year so my finances will be limited. Speaking of the 5th gen Camaro, I had a modded 2010 2SS that I traded in on a new 2016 2SS and sometimes miss the old ‘10 but the ZL1 makes up for it!

The Z can cover a multitude of sins!!! lol. I Had an absolutely stunning 2018 2SS that I installed an Edelbrock Super Charger with some extras...making somewhere around 675-700 horses. ON A whim, I posted it for sale on Facebook Marketplace for a great price and it sold in literally 5 minutes...in an hour I had a sizeable deposit in my PayPal account. Now I regret doing that and thus, the new Camaro. Oh, well, it's only money and I'm have lots of fun. You're a young man, Greg...Live it to the fullest and enjoy your Camaro.

I made my 2010 a fast Camaro even for an L99...no question a good looking ride. I finally got every low 12s in the quarter but could Never get an 11. I'm hoping this lighter LT1 will get me there...from the fast list, it looks like they are completely capable of it. And...if it's paid for retirement pay should cover the costs of keeping it. Good luck on retirement.
