Dealer didn't want to give me any updates after code 3100, but today I found out the car is built and assigned a VIN number - a lot faster than I expected. May be here by end of March

Hey guys, new to the forum, been lurking for awhile now. I really want a ZL1.
I have an order put in (no allocation) at one dealer for a 2023, was told I'm first in line but allocation isn't guaranteed. And I have a "reservation" for a 2024 at another dealer, was told I am first in line for this as well and that an order would be put in once 2024 order banks open, was also warned allocation is not guaranteed. Paid refundable deposits at both dealers, both of these were done just before the new year (late December). I am willing to be patient but I'm worried I may never get allocation and that is tempting me to buy a used one. Wondering if there is anything else I could do to increase my chances. |

Received an email from the dealer last night that my 1LT Sharkskin Camaro is now in transit and should be here next week. Approx. 8 weeks from order time. Super excited!

There seem to be quite a few of allocations of ZL1's lately so that might work in your favour. They are a higher margin vehicle for GM. Outside of finding a dealer that sells quite a few Camaro's there is not much else you can do. If you can put down refundable deposits at more than one dealer that can help. Allocations from GM are most often based on previous sales of Camaro's by the dealer. It is that allocation that is key to get the order moving, get it to status 2000. Once there at 2000 then the process is pretty standard, likely 2-3 months and you will have the car. Good luck !

My car has been sitting at the Lansing lot since the beginning of March, I think they are waiting to ship a bunch of Ontario orders together, or they just forgot about mine ...

Picked up my 23' ZL1 Vert' at the end of last October....was built end of September, took about a month to get here....I am from the Toronto area and is sat for a few weeks at the Ingersoll transfer lot before making its way to me...

Guess you never know with GM. When I ordered my C7 it was built on a Thursday and the dealer had it the following Monday. They are built in Bowling Green Kentucky , a few hours further than Lansing, Michigan

It looks like after 2+ years of waiting, I now have 2 allocations.
I have one in Ottawa and one near Montreal, both are 2SS 1LE's. Now what do I do? It looks like I have a build date for the one in Quebec, but the dealer is being cagey about actual specifics. |
