These new mirrors are looking fantastic, great job, 2023ZL1RapidBlue
I'm paranoid about my side mirrors because of the mirror whistling noise problem (that my car is fortunately free from) and won't ever touch them unless absolutely necessary, maybe post-refresh GM did something about the issue, as I'm not seeing anyone here with a 2019+ complain about it.

Looks great! Now I really want a pair, how did the door card removal go. Any issues with clips and such? Or any advice for the process. Also how is the fit against the door.

B)Also, putting it back, you will never be able to hang and tilt like I used to do back in the days. I tried it a few times and panel wasn't lining up correctly. Then, I thought to remove (slide out) top weatherstripping and top clips and hanging both of those on the door. Then, the panel went on like butter. C) Use the standard fuses to hold the inside mirror clips open. D) Test fit halves and sand down carbon fiber to get a nice fit. Those are the 4 advice bullets I can think of. No issues with fit against the door. The carbon fiber cups never fully touch door itself. The weatherproof gasket will be what touches the door and that gasket is the same stock gasket the car came with so no issues there. |
