That kid that just went 11:1 was at 16pds on Nitto01R, earlier, I think.

sts=so to speak for the civilians here
"That kid"= you know the "world record" holder on the other thread
Is he really a kid at 30 years of age or is that you just wanting to demean another driver?

I try not to read between the lines. The term kid isn't really concerning to me. The average age of most ZL1 owners doesn't matter to me. I'm much older and I look at him as a kid too. To put it in perspective I was driving before he was born. We are getting off track though. I don't speak for everyone here do I will just say this it's not a persons age it's their actions. I know lots of kids who are older than me because they act immature. I'm sure we all know folks like that. We see it everyday. Perhaps what rubs people the wrong way are remarks like I own 2 ZL1s or I broke the world record or I have the first red A10 in the country. Use of commentary like that seems to get under people's skin. I don't have to tell anyone what I did. If it is that spectacular someone else will notice it. I'm a bit more humble but I'm not running a YouTube channel or self promoting so what do I know

I would never demean another driver sorry that was your take away from my point! And yes he said he was late 20's which is my sons age. Hell, I'm a big kid too! Now can we get back to the car?

I looked it up, and saw a "stock" new Z06 running mid 10's? Besides the weight difference, why is it close to a second faster than the ZL1?

Many C7Z owners have ran in the 10's and several have been in the mid 10 range. But that car has been out for almost 3 years now, so there has been a lot of testing. Also it would appear the ZL1 seems to have more torque management. I do also wonder if the few cars that are going to the dragstrip aren't heating up the tires enough. Give it some time. I'm sure some drivers will be in the 10's before you know it.

I have felt mine use some sort of torque management in second gear hard on the throttle. Also cant wait to get it on a dyno and see how rich gm has the fuel curve tuned on this car.

Yes, I've only owned the 5th Gen trims, damn near all of them. Sort of relieved I didn't fall ahead over heals for the 6th Gen ZL1. The ZL1/1LE looks promising but I'm still waiting.

Give it time, the car is brand new and nobody has run one in the mineshaft DA that it takes to run the killer times that the Z06 guys have done for years.

It has the same level of torque management that the Z06s have had for years. But I agree, just give it time the cars have just come out!

It doesn't take mineshaft air to run 1.6x or better 60' in the Z06, and the ZL1 has enough power to where it shouldn't need mineshaft air either.

I'm well aware of what it takes and what it doesn't because I've been there and done that with the Z06. It WILL take mineshaft air to make a ZL1 have a good 60' with the torque management in these cars because it took that with the Z06s that weight quite a bit less.

Forgive my ignorance, but is the torque management built into the manual 6 and the A10 both or is it only the 6spd trans?
