I would think that the LT4 650 HP ZL1 would walk the 505 HP Z06 even though the C6Z has a weight advantage.

I'm fairly sure the HP:Weight ratio is significantly in favor of the ZL1 regardless.

C6 Z06 weighs 700-800 pounds less.. Thing definitely traps mid 120s and higher.

ZL1 has about 6 pounds per horsepower and Z06 is about 6.138..

140 seems on the slow side for a car with this output.. Where was the run done?

And the C6 Vette has a major aerodynamic advantage which plays huge at speeds above 100 MPH

What numbers are you using for curb weights?

3,900 and 3,100.. Maybe the ZL1 is 30 pounds lighter than that and Vette a bit heavier.. Just off top of my head quick calculations.

What I found online...

2013 Z06 is ~3175 and with 505 hp that would be ~6.25 hp/lb (if the weight is correct).

2017 ZL1 couple is ~3900 and with 650 hp that would be 6.0 hp/lb (again, if the weight is correct).

No disagreement about the C7Z's potential trap speeds and potential. One of my all-time favorite cars.

This is a half mile run and the C6Z aero should help. I would love to see the vid but no luck so far in my search for it.

I think you're possibly a little light on the C6Z but pretty darn close on the ZL1?

It would be a good race for sure.
