Secondary cat questions

Hey guys, so now that the weather is finally cooling down, I can start tinkering with things again (and by things I mean exhaust) car currently only has the flowmaster outlaw axle-backs, was thinking about throwing in an x pipe then I remembered a 2nd set of cats are down there still, is there any point in keeping them or should I just cut them, toss em, and run pipe straight to the mufflers? Also to note I live in az, so no worries about any of ca’s fun rules.
-Thanks

I believe some members on the forum have removed them. Slightly louder with more gurgles and pops. So if passing emissions tests and warranty arent an issue I’d think your gtg. I will probably be doing this sooner rather than later. Also.

Any sort of performance positives/negatives? Like I said, also going to throw in an x pipe, and I have 1 7/8 headers on the way.

Side note, don’t just ‘toss’ the secondary cats if you remove them.. take them to a metal recycler... they pay good money for them due to the metals Inside the cats..

No performance gains that I can feel. I did it for the exhaust note. With headers and x pipe it should go together really nice. It will be loud.

I've heard that, does anyone know how much they pay for them roughly? Just wondering if it's worth my time to cut them off the stock pipe laying in the basement currently before I throw the whole thing out.

Long tubes will replace all 4 cats anyway so why bother?
