Just a FYI all GM engines are built by hand, on the mainline assembly systems they just use robotic tools to help and or speed the process up.
Also not a surprise the left over engines from Bowling Green are being sent out. GM did the same thing with the left LS7 engines after the C6 Z06 had completed production. Heck GM did everything they could to use up the LS7 engine stock including offering the limited production 427 Convertible models to try and use up the engine stock along with offering the 5th gen Z-28 to use up the stock as well.
