I didn't solve my 'soft' acceleration until I added a LT4 supercharger and its 200 CHP. Now it puts a smile on my face everytime!

You need to get some miles on the engine. I changed my oil at about 1800 miles. By 3000 miles it was a lot more free revving.

Very good point. Those cars need 1500mi for break in period, during which RPMs and high speeds should be restricted (per the manual). I have followed this with both my 1LEs. Then changed fluids etc. Both had zero issues roasting tires at whim.

This aside, what drive mode the car is in has a big effect for obvious reasons per specific design calibrations.

Trap speed was 87-88mph.

Ever hear of something called a break in period? In our cars is about 1,500 miles. Can’t rev it past 4,000 RPM, can’t drive it faster than 80 MPH, and can't drive it at any constant speed! Then swapping out all fluids, engine, tranny, diff. So says Chevy!

Use track mode, then if you want to customize the other suspension exhaust etc. go for it. Reason is because the throttle response in track (which you can't customize in settings) is more precise based on how much throttle you give. Sport mode the throttle is just super aggressive and gives you less control.

For a second I thought you guys ran 8.5 and 8.2 quarter miles and now you nonchalantly talk about "bad bog"

Yeah I’ve heard of a break in period. I swapped all the fluids at 500 miles and took it to the 1/8 mile strip passed those miles. I wouldn’t take it to a road course track till 1500. The 1/8 mile strip is basically a first and second hard pull. I’m not waiting till 1500 miles for that. Lol.

I just did this Saturday, from rolling start about 5mph to wide open first and second gear...pulled like a freight train. Some wheel spin and I noticed when lifting to shift the engine still was pulling for a millisecond or two almost like rev hang.... Yes I was a bit loose in both gears keeping it straight, but the gforces were awesome . Nannies all off in sport, exhaust in track.

I definitely tried to follow the break-in procedures as well as I can. It's worth it in the long run IMO.

If you are going for redline shifts, you could try the built-in no-lift shift feature. Very helpful on the SS 1LE. You can keep your foot planted and the car will drop the RPM for you.

It takes a little time to get used to, but once you get used to it, it's really nice to have on a track.

I never noticed what you have described, but I currently don't have my car with me(in hibernation at a garage).

My new 2019 C7 was dead. My new 2021 LT1 will get sideways like crazy with a blimp of the gas. Unreal how the factory tuning was diff from the two cars. Maybe the A10 also helps vs the A8 in my C7.

I owned/own manual version of both cars and they are both pretty lively IMO.

With the smaller tires I bet it breaks free pretty easily.

I definitely think my problem is that I’ve been in plenty of fast cars and I think I expected more out of it. Definitely love the car so don’t get me wrong. Pulls like a freight train is definitely not how I would describe a stock SS Camaro. Lol
