Looking to Wrap my roof

Not sure if this thread should have gone here or the how to section, but here's the deal. I think I want to ditch the matte black wrap on my hood because I want to go gloss black on my roof.

I have found out that the antenna cover is actually bolted to the roof so I have to drop the headliner to unbolt it. I'm sure this isn't terribly difficult but I'm pretty OCD when it comes to yanking out parts and busting clips. Installing my suede knee pads was already a pretty big test of my patience.

Anyone here pulled the headliner that can shed some light on the difficulty or clip locations. Maybe even a GM Tech who could get us some screen shots of GM literature saying how to properly remove the headliner?

best way would just be to tuck the vinyl under the antennae and then cut it around. Would be way easier than taking it off. There are some youtube vids that show how to do it.

I had the roof on my 328i wrapped gloss black and they did it without taking off the shark fin antenna. I didn't see how they did it, but it was nicely done.

No. The best way is to drop the liner, do the roof in one piece and wrap the Fin separately.
That was how mine was done and you can tell it was done right.
Unfortunately, I was not able to be there to oversee the wrap. No idea how they dropped the headliner.

Wrapped, no liner drop.

I was told by my vinyl guys that BMW is an adhesive mounted cover. They just pulled it off wrapped the roof and antenna cover then double side taped it back on.

That makes sense. I didn't see how they did it, I just know they didn't drop the head liner.
