I got a brand new set of take off's for $760 Ebay/Tire Gator I think in May, (2018) tires made mid year. Went to Discount tire to ask about mounting and balance they told me $250+ Tax since you didn't buy them from us ! I laughed and said I have my own tire machine that's guaranteed to not scratch my wheels , I will do them myself and just have them balanced. My motorcycle balancer is to small for a 20 inch wheel.
I bet I couldn't get two michelins 4s for that price.

Wondering what your thoughts are on these. Hard to pass up a new set of fronts for 4xx. 2016 is pretty old though keep us posted!

Yikes. My local Chevy store is less than half that and they'll install any tire as long as it's new

Dear Lord, these tires suck in the rain! I think I see myself buying the Contis or Michelins in about 10k miles.

Are you talking about SC 3 or SC 3R? I've never had SC 3, but thought they were ok in the rain. 3R should never be driven in the rain, and if you get caught slow way down.

PSS and PS4S are definitely the best for all around street performance and rain.

For what it's worth, I just got a set of the 2017 production tires and they are in phenomenal shape. Still smell brand new, super clean, super gummy if you stick your fingernail in them, I'm very happy with the decision. Plus Goodyear is sending you a $200 gift card if you buy a set of 4 and use a Goodyear credit card. Drops the price to around $650 for all 4.

For me I am on my original tires. The car has 6, 500 miles. The fronts may make 10k as I don't track the car. The rears are about done. I think they are great tires. R2 compound
