ZL1 A10 - improve exhaust burble on decel?
I've had my ZL1 A10 for 3.5 years and still love the car. Coming from BMW I do miss the exhaust burble on deceleration / overrun. If using paddles there's small one around 2-3k RPM in 1st or 2nd, but otherwise none. Is there a tune or mod other than cat delete that improves this?
Thanks! |

Intake, 2nd cat delete and fuse removal will help.

The NPP exhaust flaps are designed to reduce this. As soon as you install a cat back exhaust you will get the desired result. Fuse pull or keeping it in open mode will help but catback is the way to go.

Why attract unwanted attention in this day in age?

Op has a question on how to get a certain decel pop going. I explained how to do that. |

I’ve got a ZL1 A10 with an AWE axle back. It gives you what you are looking for.

It gives off the popping that the original poster asked for.

The 2019's+ apparently have more popping and burble tuned in. Maybe you could just have the car tuned similarly.

No pictures handy at the moment, but yea, it looks better. Black chrome tips versus stock chrome. It is most definitely louder. Nice burble on decel. No hp or performance gain. Just improved sound and looks. |

Coming from an LS3 with headers I was pretty disappointed with the decel pop from the stock LT4. Some people love it, other people hate it. I have an M6 and would get a little bit of decel pop with the factory exhaust. I’ve added an awe touring cat back non resonated with performance link pipes and get a lot of decel pop now. Especially when when the car is cold. Cold start ups are very menacing now!
