On Fox and Friends they said the McLaren was their pick this morning. Also had the ACR, and Nissan GTR along with the Porsche....

They mentioned the Camaro at 45k.....

So close.
Fantastic result with all that exotic gear.
I will print out the article and send it to all the local Exotic car dealers with a big laughy face on the envelope.
It is cool to think I own one of these cars (an SS)

Correct. It was considered a better Drivers car than the ACR!

Yah, I laugh at this entire thing ever year they do it. None if it makes sense other than to sell cars and magazines. You do realize that editors in magazines are the ones that coined that silly Phrase "drivers car". The definition of drivers car is, a car that can be driven relatively hard by a mediocre driver with less chance of failure. That's why the Viper would never win because you have to be a real driver order to make it perform to its potential without failure.

I love that new 1LE though. It would appear to be a great "drivers car"

I disagree because the mediocre drivers said that the harder you push the Viper the less scary it seems.

A drivers car is simply are car that checks all the boxes, fast, fun, controlled, and makes you feel connected and in control at all times.

I understand that feeling from piloting a few different types of race car over the years. It takes a certain amount of push to get cars like the viper or races cars working in the zone they were intended to work in. And my comment wasn't directed towards RP. He's one of the best. I however fall in the mediocre class and need a drivers car.

if you noticed on the 1LE section, they talk about a No lift shift?? I thought we didn't have that or is it 1le specific. I doubt it its specific since most enhancements are geared towards Diff, tires and suspension

I saw that too, and I wonder if that means they just didn't lift (kinda doubt they would do that), or does it actually have no lift shift as part of PTM that only is activated at full throttle when in certain modes?

They also didn't seem to have the brake cooling deflectors on so I wonder if the brake cooling setup is slightly different.

Does the 1LE have the same kinda ones that need to be added on like a regular SS? Have we confirmed there isn't a different, "permanent" design? If not, MT goofed big time by not installing them, or for that matter GM should have sent the car there with them on, unless it would have caused an issue with shipping...
