25 is as high as I will take a LT4 even on the highest octane you can find...especially an SBE. Built engine with upgraded thrust bearing, I can see pushing a little harder in certain situations. Imo 2 more degrees for 20whp isn't worth beating the shit out of the rotating assembly for a little more power. I mean Jesus H. Christ private Pyle it's already making almost 1000wtq. And just because it makes a little more power on a dyno doesn't always mean it's in the customers best interest to run it there. dyno numbers and hard street pulls are not equal.

I hear you. I'll only run the 109 at the track

I'm running E65, 18 degrees of timing and 5 degrees of Flex Fuel timing, so 23 total, that's on 11 psi of boost. Now that we know what was causing false knock we will add some more timing next time out, still have plenty of fuel so might go up to E70, not sure if we'll make anymore power, but worth a try since I'm running mainly 1/8 mile till fall we'll set up a pretty aggressive tune. Keeping boost level where it is, loving my pistons.

We need to meet at Topeka in some good weather, e.g., not 90+F

E60-E70 (sometimes meth too) / between 25-27 peak depending on the car and mods. ZL1's are heavier than Z06's so that comes into play as well. I also have a strategy in place that pulls timing when humidity drops in colder temps and I don't desensitize the MAT multiplier for IAT's. I instead use the Flex Fuel multiplier to adjust a little for ethanol content so it pulls timing at a slower rate vs pump gas for intake temps.

This is my strategy and seems to do well. If I don't know the client I err on the safer side because there is no telling if they will have 4 people in their ZL1 trying to race in Mexico. The heavier the car, the less timing I'm willing to put in it.

Would all the timing mentioned here apply to a port injection zl1 with stock heads and cam? Mine is a 2650 headers, intake, 103 inlet and TB, E85. Just stock heads and cam. Mine is currently 22* right now.

Not a ZL1, but 15 degrees at 12 psi on 93. I run Boostane to 96-98 octane for a little extra safety.
