2017 ZL1 Compression Test

Hey,

I try to do a compression test at the beginning of the season and appear to have pretty good results for a 6 year old car that has been modified for 5 years (250+ whp).

The min to max was within 3-4% across the cylinders and values that make sense for an LT4 with stock compression ratio (even with a cam). This was done hot after completely warming the car to a stabilized 200°F EOT, testing ended around 170°F at the completion of test.

Was considering either a built bottom end or upgrading the 2300 to 2650, looks like that latter wouldn't be a bad idea based on results.

Those results looks really good to me! Guess you’re not abusing it enough.

How's that 3.0 whipple? I'm concerned with the quality of whipple vs. magnuson and haven't done enough research on 3.0 whipple vs 2650 results.

It looks nice sitting on my motor… Hoping to button up the details (Katech designing TB plate for 112mm TB, Smoothboost bracket prototype, etc) soon and get in a dyno before end of the month.
