I will weigh in here in support of Ted, and my incredibly frustrating journey to get my car fixed and back on the road.
My car is a SS with a Whipple/Cam and plenty of add on's, and developed a hot start issue which just got worse over the past few years, until this spring where it just crapped out, would not start reliably, and then finally went into limp mode.
Did the typical throwing parts at it - Throttle Body, Accel Pedal, clean all grounds, drained the old gas out, etc. None of it helped.
Engaged another remote "Tuner", said he would provide tunes to easily fix the car, but gave up real quick after a few crap tunes.
Not Ted.
He first had me make some parts changes - fuel pump, injectors, 3.75" pully, MAP, IAT, etc. Not a issue for me as I am a good wrench, but clueless when it comes to tuning and data analysis. The whole Tuning thing is way beyond me, and many out there I am sure, but he was patient with me as we conducted many driving sessions and data logs per his explicit instructions, followed by refined tunes. All within his flat rate Tune Cost. Towards the end, the full throttle blasts he requested were scary fun, let's just say I exceeded the highway speed limit somewhat.
He is up front with the tune cost, and has a detailed tuning process you must follow. Read his web site as it is spelled out clearly. As well as his build packages, like the "JRE 680RWHP Super Street Brawler Performance Package" of which my car is basically just like that.
The end result was that my car is "fixed" and better than just that, it picked up a huge chunk of HP/TQ in the process. I would have spent almost anything to get the car back on the road, as it was usless just sitting in my garage. It is a riot to drive, a real Beast.
You can not go wrong getting Ted on board, he is a real Pro!

Thank you for sharing your experience with the community.

As I recall, you also had the Dead pedal/limp mode issue that no one could fix ?

Ted.

Ted, I read through your extensive Instruction for doing the tune, one question I got is, do I need to disconnect the Banks superdash from the OBD2 port? I got a OBD splitter in between plus the HP tuner, also I got the Vitesse Throttle controller connected to the Gas Pedal. are they OK to leave on or better to disconnect when I do the logging?
