There are some tracks, but I'm not sure how easy it is to get on them. There are tons of great driving roads just a little North of Atlanta. Lots of great roads around Helen and surrounding areas and if you want to travel a bit further there is the tail of the dragon (plus tons of other great roads in that area).

Traffic anywhere near Atlanta is awful.
