Looks good and all that but won't the added weight of the detector put stress on the mirror. After all its only glued up there from all the mirrors I've had in my cars.

Hi! Looks great but my question is does the radar detector really work against laser as I got 2 tickets by Laser and my detector did not even go off? But it did say it was a laser/radar detector with 360 degree protection!Lol. I got rid of it after that!Lol

Insant on radar they wait for you then turn it on before you can slow down cant beat this one except good reaction time hitting the brake V1 explains it well.

Nice setup, but what do you do with it if you go into Virginia?

A friend of mine has a detector here in VA and everytime he gets pulled over and does not have a chance to hide it, he says he is coming from Maryland where it is not illegal to have detectors...they just tell him to put it away and not use it in here in this state (VA), that excuse has saved him a couple of times lol it is not installed in the car thou, or that would be obvious that he uses it here.

Great write up! I've owned the V-1 for a while but don't use it all the time because of the mounting hassle. This morning I ordered the bracket and cord and can't wait to install it. The Camaro5 forum is fantastic!!
