Why, yes! Yes, you would. I sometimes forget some folks run cats. I'm just a mid-pipe w/o cats since I'm mid-mount turbos. You'd want BOTH sensors (NB and WB) pre-cats; running all four O2 sensors with the ECU and the WB(s) via an external gauge/controller or to the data logger (e.g., HPTuners).

It is always recommended to mount the sensor before the cats. The readings after the cat are almost identical so if you want to use the rear O2 location go for it.

Thank you sir but I no longer have the rear o2 bungs since now I have a TSP exhaust system. But I do have cats. So my wideband o2 can go into the pipe right after the header then before the cats?

Yes keep in mind mounting position, the tip of the sensor needs to be pointing down slightly so condensation doesn't drip into it.

^^^ good advice. I would also make sure the sensor isn't in the draft of the sensor in front of it as well. Obviously you want a nice exhaust stream reaching the sensor.

This is a beside-the-point information insertion: when I compared the HPTuner data log and the dyno sniffer log, there was a 1/4-sec delay from the two sensors, meaning, if your tuner isn't using your laptop and the installed O2 sensor closer to the motor (they're using the exhaust tip sniffer), then the tuning won't be dead nuts on with your fueling. I don't know if that's close enough, or that I'm just over analyzing the effort.

I've already ordered the AEM but just for reference on the PLX it says

" It includes two analog outputs (wideband 0-5V, and narrowband 0-1V) for interfacing with 3rd party devices and one digital serial output for interfacing with the DM-6 gauge and other Multi Gauges. The wideband analog output is ideal for interfacing with aftermarket ECU's and data loggers. The narrowband output is ideal for stock narrowband oxygen sensor replacement where the simulated narrowband analog output is fed back into your ECU to make it operate as if the stock narrowband oxygen sensor is still installed while running the PLX wideband setup."

But as it states it has two analog outputs but it doesn't say if it's linear or not. So I'm not sure, I'm just scared to run two different o2 sensors because there could be descriptions between the two in terms of the time it takes to read each banks A/F ratio and send it back to the ecm and therefore changing each banks fueling requirements.

Just doesn't seem worth the possible issues to save getting another bung welded in.
