Maggie 2650R prices

Planning out my first round of mods. Looking at my budget and curious about Maggie pricing. How good does it ever get for a "tuner" package with sales, black friday, etc? I just need the parts- I'll tune it. $6,500? $6,000? Better on Black Friday?

When I was shopping around between 2650 and Whipple 3.0 I couldn’t find a 2650 under nearly $8K…. I thought that was crazy. Since I was leaning 3.0 anyway it made my decision easier.

How's the 3.0 working out for you? I've been considering upgrading from my 2300

Yowsa!!

I may be wrong but doesn't the LT1 kit come with more stuff than the LT4 kit? I was thinking it was higher priced to start.

@shinysun on this board has some early results that look good vs the 2650. My install is still ongoing since I’m waiting for Katech to work out a 112mm adapter for the 3.0. Should have some results later this month.

I only wanted the actual head unit…I didn’t want anything else but Magnuson simply wouldn’t work with me. Oh well.

What size TB is it compatible with? Right now I have a 103mm adapter on my 2300 for my Katech 103mm TB.

While it has a 112mm snout, the bolt pattern is unique. The only adapter on the market currently is the one that comes with it from Whipple, which is fine for bolting up any standard 87mm-up LT1/4 TB. I believe the 103 uses the standard bolt pattern so you might be good…just hog out the adapter to fit the 103. If you want to run 112/120, Katech is working on the adapter.

Very good to know. Thank you.

Time for me to make a decision on how much HP potential I want with this car in the long term.

I know this goes without saying, and i'm not tryin to start a "magnuson vs" discussion but the 2650R turns the ZL1 into a totally incredible animal, if you're on the fence, get it before the price increase

I'll probably go this route. I usually sneak up on it, but this time I was thinking I'd just go full bore from the get go. airtroop01's CTS-V put down 680 through the auto with just a 103 and a big gulp on the 2650. Then he added PI plates and low side, and put down 800 on E. All of this is through full stock exhaust. I'd add headers to mine, and I really miss the cam lope, so I'll do that eventually in a perfect world.

I could go cam/headers/big gulp first, but I think I might just throw the blower on there.

With just the blower (2650), tune, exhaust (stock cats), and Torco fuel additive i made 712 to the wheels

That's awesome! Did you get numbers on Cali 91-oct, or is it a Torco-only car?

I think the aforementioned CTS-V was on 91 at just under 680 on a dynojet.

With my M6 on 93, the 2650 with a 103 and a big gulp, I'd hope I could see around 690-700 before the octane (or the low side) becomes my ceiling.

I do my tuning on the street with a bunch of uphill 4th gear pulls, to be as "real-world conservative" as possible with fuel supply and timing. Then I'd throw it on the dyno just to see what it makes.
