Texas Metal on velocity
Anyone watched the first part of this build? They are back halfing the car to add 24"x15" wheels, on bags, custom interior, pulled the engine to add more power, and a full custom aluminum frame has been made so far.
they have definitely ruined the suspension aspects of the car, but it is pretty interesting to see the car taken down that far. |

I did see it and they should finish tonight. Crazy build for sure. Still had the stickers on the windshield so it was really brand new. I wonder if they are doing a solid rear or IRS. I bet solid but we will find out tonight

I love the stuff that shop does, BUT, I have to admit I was shaking my head & cringing at hacking up that brand new ZL1 to air bag and install 24"x15's" & straight axle. Yikes. Oh well the owner has money to burn so likely not a big deal to him. He probably owns a stock ZL1 too lol.

He does love his big wheels, I'd rather see a 22x15 with a little taller tire. Its still a wicked build.

It was a crazy build. I think even a 20x15 wheel with 32" tall tire, kind of a prostreet/touring would have been better, but not my car so the customer seemed to like it. But from the looks of his other stuff and plane, the could have a dozen of those built.

First of all, I don't care for the way the rear fenders look at all. Don't care for the rear wheel/tire tucked way up in the fender even when at drive height.
Second, Why did they have to do the entire new frame, etc, with a car that's only putting down 900whp when on the bottle? Seems like total overkill unless they expect to add twin turbos down the road to hit double that whp? |

I agree on the rear wheels being tucked so far in. It was overkill but that's their MO. Glad someone built one on TV since GM never advertises it like Ford does the Mustang.

Respect to their crafting just not my style or color. Watching in rewind and I would have liked the outcome far better. That said, everybody has different tastes and the owner got what he wanted. Really liked the 49 GMC.

I CAN'T DENY THE FAB WORK , AND CREATIVITY ( NOT TO MENTION THE STONES TO CUT UP A BRAND NEW Z!! ) , BUT AFTER OWNING MY " NEW TO ME " 2017 M6 , I JUST CRINGE AT THE THOUGHT OF HOW IT MAY PERFORM NOW. :(
