Thay had very bad luck!! :( Hyper Blue is a fantastic color but as usual it is hard to match and blend when you need to repair a single body panel..

My body man matched my hyper blue perfect. Did a fender only and a small section above the side marker on the front bumper cover. Absolutely can't tell a difference.

that is where they messed up, they did the base on the whole panel instead of blending it, and clearing the whole panel. bum deal for them, they do very nice work!

My thoughts exactly. I can empathize with why they wanted to go forward with re-painting and re-clearing the entire body pieces, but you are just asking for trouble with a metallic color. (FYI, I did some touch-up stuff on my old HMB car. My first couple cans were spot-on correct, but the last one was a touch off, but wasn't an issue at all as I only blended)

In their previous video, at the end, they mentioned "blending". I thought they were going to do that...

The only big problem for them, still, was that they did not pain the side skirts when they painted the rest of the body...

Also, they should not paint the roof black. They should paint it blue and then just vinyl the roof. It's the easily reversible way and another thing these boys can learn.

I was worried for them when they said they had never tried blending before. I was worried sick about mine, even though the guy that did it said it wouldn't be a problem. I was fully expecting to see at least some small differences somewhere, but I was pleasantly surprised. He killed it! I couldn't be happier.

Not feeling that blend of different black finishes. They need to correct that. Gloss black roof and rockers, carbon hood insert, matte 1LE grille, splitter and canards, and whatever finish the wing ends up being. It's gonna be a mess.

Up 'till now I have appreciated their work on this ZL1 but you're surely right about the black finishing: why not matching the front lower splitter and front grille with the rest? I will not spoil the rest, but you will see what they will do with the rear spoiler.. and "fix" it.

I'm hoping they install the dark tail lights and 3rd brake light, that would look sooooo much better on that car.

I totally agree with you! IMHO that car deserves dark tail lights and a gloss black paint on the front splitter and grille..
