Help: Sport Tour button modes won't work anymore

My 2013 ZL1's Sport and Tour modes will no longer activate. The car only has 15,000 miles and I've noticed the suspension now feels like a land yacht. I've tried unplugging the battery to reset the computer and I know I'm not in one of the 5 PTM modes which will deactivate the lights. Could my Magneto shocks have just gone bad from having the car sit so long? When I first put in and turn the key the Tour or Sport mode light will turn on for a sec then turn off so I know the lights work, but then when pushing either button it will not turn the light back on. I'm not getting a fault code for the shocks and I've run the OBDII with no codes either. I really hate to take it to the dealer so am hoping someone here has seen this before, thanks.

You said you unhooked the battery but for how long? That usually will take having the battery unhooked at least 12 hours [overnite] then hook it back up and it should correct itself. If not check your fuses one may have blown. Good luck.

Thanks, I saw a tread on here for a related PTM issue that said to unplug the battery for about an hour, but will try it again overnight now. I had looked up the fuses closely in the owners manual but could not find one that could be related to this issue, maybe I just need to look again.

Magrides are shot. Replace them with coilovers and thank yourself later.

Hey Shodown, I saw your signature and very impressed with your numbers. Making 633 hp with a 10% pulley and headers is very impressive. Does the chiller play a big role in making that power?

Sorry, not trying to hijack the thread. Let us know if disconnecting the battery for 12 hours works!

A failed/leaking mag strut will not affect the PTM modes as it still has its 5 ohm residence to the control module.

Agree. Unhook the battery overnight before replacing the mag rides

Well overnight didn't work, still having the same problem. When I put the key in and turn it the Tour or Sport mode light will just blink once then will not turn back on after selecting the buttons.

It as also making that power on corn which is totally worth the money. The chiller definitely helps keep the power though. I can hot lap car at the track and make pull after pull on the dyno without worrying about high IATs. They are usually 25* below ambient at any given time. I dont lose power on each pull due to heat, it actually made more power on the dyno with each pull.

You need to get the BCM refreshed, there could be an update as well. I had the same thing happen to me after my battery died over winter storage , tried everything but it didn't work... luckily my cousin is a tech for GM and was able to reflash it for me , after that it was back to normal! Also your speed is limited while your suspension has no tune ..
