The grease you see is from the DSSV struts. They have a sintered brass vent near the bottom that will expel some residual grease. There are posts on this subject and GM even has a bulletin on it. I have had the Gen5 Z/28 DSSV front struts apart and have studied the Gen6 Multimatic DSSV cutaway pictures. Both are of a similar internal design. The grease is used inside for the insert lubrication and it is normal for some excess to be pushed out. My recommendation is to clean up all the grease from the area and remove the vent and clean it with BraKleen and reinstall. Be careful to not overtighten the vent (ask me how I know, lol). Eventually the excess grease will dwindle and you won't have anymore exiting the strut.

Thank you Thank you Thank you! I was so worried I blew a seal on the suspension or something. I'll get it cleaned up.

Thanks a million!

At COTA in May the ambient temp was ~100F. Guessing the track was 130F. No issues. Water under 220 and oil to 270-280 in the last last laps per Cosworth but cooled quickly. I have seen same in cooler temps. GY G3Rs held up well, did not get greasy at all. Good for another 2 days with 5 20-min sessions (I usually get 4 days total for the tires). Advanced Group.

First time with camber lowered to -2.7 (was -3.1-ish forget). Much more even wear on the the tires and understeer is not a problem. If it is I am not on the right line.

I did add an intercooler expansion tank afterwards. I had a Track Night in America last week with 104F ambient. Power was noticeably more consistent.

I'm interested in the intercooler expansion tank. What setup did you go with? Can you post details?

I'm mulling over an upper pulley, SC porting, and a throttle body.

Hey, I'm curious on your COTA times? Last event for me in April with it around 100 and humid my zle wasn't lasting more than 4 laps (pulling power, temps getting high, etc.). - will likely be going external oil cooler and beefier heat exchanger to help.

Happened last summer at July night event as well (stock)

In cabin view of the 45 minutes session. 4K processing still pending. Should be ready in a day or two.

Moroso, mostly plug and play. You need to cut the hose that goes into the pump and turn it to face toward the new tank. I posted an update to this thread: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showt...4#post11182534

Fastest was 2:34 on Sat the hot day. Overall I was about 4s slower Sat vs Sun with temps in the 80s. LOL, I did a 2:32 with my daughter as a passenger driving at 8/10ths on Sun which was in the 80s. I could definitely feel the difference between Sat/Sun. I have seen times in the high 2:20s in cooler temps. Even on Sunday the car felt down about 100hp, air in the system to me.

Cooler weather 150mph+ in the back straight, just 143mph on Sat looking through the PDR, 147mph Sun.

IMO temps for oil and water otherwise were high, but fine. It just needs the intercooler tank to me based on my test at Harris Hill afterwards.
