Will a Nitto nt555 G2 fit stock wheel

Will the nitto nt555 G2 fit the stock front wheels. They come in a 255/35/20 or 265/35/20. I ordered some Nitto nt555r for the rear 305/35/20 and people on here had no issues with them on stock rear wheels. My front and rear eagle f1 are bald and now looking for a full set. Please lmk if there’s will fit the front stocks. Thank you

My opinion is the 305 is too wide for a stock wheel and taller than the stock tires. But I think thr Nittos will match each other. The the Nitto fronts will match the height of the 305 which Stabilitrac needs if you go with that tire. On my 2016 SS 265/35/20 nitto nt555 G2s required a spacer so it would not rub in the front.

Most if not all 20" DRs as far as the ones I can find are about 1" taller than the stock height front. This is right at the limit where the difference in size will affect Stabilitrac.

So I went with some 17" Dragstars and a MT ET Streets at about 27" and have no stabilitrac problems.

Try the tire section.

20" wheels limit your choices. Not sure why GM went with 20s. Heavy.

305/35/20 555r fits the stock wheel about perfect. It runs narrow compared to other 305 tires including the 555r2. The 555 G2 also runs narrow, so you can go up a size on those for the fronts. If you want the 555r2 drag radial then I wouldn't go larger then the 295/35/20.

I can't tell you how or which Nitto 555 G2 will fit but the one thing I can tell you about the G2 is if you plan on building much horsepower over what you already have you won't get the traction you want.
Just something to consider.

It's not just your opinion, either. The tire industry as a whole has determined that 10" is the narrowest wheel that a 305/35 tire should be mounted on. Among the reasons for not going narrower than 10" is the matter of increased sidewall flexing (and from that, more heating) as you drive.

That said, you should be able to get away with putting 305/35's on 9.5" wheels for short-term or emergency needs. But I wouldn't ever do a combination like that as a mount 'em up and forget about 'em until they're almost bald mod.

At least partial blame belongs with those organizations who have insisted on pedestrian-protecting hood contours. Seriously. Moving the hood lines and the belt line up tends to make smaller wheels look, well, a little too small. It's a proportions thing.

Correct but Tire ratings are like Clothing size ratings. Just because X manufacturer says Y shirt is a XXL doesn't mean that is what it really measures. So all of those ratings out there are simply a general guide line because not all 305 tires are the same width...or even close for that matter.

Here is the proof.... Both 305's

I would imagine by that pic a 325 Nitto would be closer to a GY 305.
