Trucks are designed with a "rake" people. It's functional and looks fine to me. I guess if you never plan on hauling anything or pulling a trailer you could lower the back end to your liking. I'm glad to see they're building this beast.

Leveling kit will fix the rake too if you absolutely can't stand it.

And sometimes the production counterparts closely match the concept and they hit a homerun. Remember the gen5 Camaro, 2005 Mustang GT and the 2008 Dodge Challenger.

I understand that, but leveling kits often change the suspension geometry and limit suspension travel. I understand the idea of a little rake, but that is excessive and really makes an otherwise nice truck looks pretty bad. I see no reason why they couldn't give it the stance of the concept. Toyota can build trucks that are useable that are level. Chevy has always been the worse with the jacked up butts. I don't get it.

The rake is definitely still there on that Tacoma, just compare the spacing between the fenders and tires. The truck's design just hides it.

In the process of "American-izing" Colorado, one of the modifications was a higher bed height. One of the common complaints from North America about the oveseas model was the top of the bed didn't really line up with anything from the cab forward so it literally looked like an afterthought tacked on.

Couple that with the upwards curve of the belt line, and the ever-lower front ends on trucks for aero purposes, and the rake looks much more exaggerated than it really is.

Take a look at this overseas-spec Colorado.

Or this Silverado 2500HD:

The rake is there. You just don't notice it as much.

I know they purposely give trucks rake for towing purposes but that rake on the truck in the spy shots looks a little excessive if you ask me

Anyone else maybe consider that this is a pre production vehicle, and they are testing stuff out and that is not the final rake height? Maybe?

If this new ZR2 is anywhere near as capable as my old ZR2 was then I'll seriously consider buying one.

That would be awesome.

The sooner the better, as Ranger is soon returning, most likely with a Ford Performance model (aka mini-Raptor).

Some off road version of a Colorado in which is similar to something like a Raptor?
