Does anyone have the part number for the updated torque converter? Anyone have any experience as to whether it will it eventually go bad like the old ones? I had the problem with my original converter so I went aftermarket with a big stall but now I'm considering going back to stock and selling the car or giving it to my wife.
Thanks
-Chris

Tech acknowledged TC shudder today, the flush and other repairs next Wed. I'll follow up on success / or not with flush.

Update. Fighting with dealership. After flush (single) they are now saying the shudder is normal operation. They had the car for a week and gave it back to me. I got GM Customer Service involved and also found out after pressing the dealership that they never did a Pico meter test during the week they had the car. No Fun! Hoping GM will step in and tell them to simply swap out the TC but I suspect they have no Teeth. Will most likley end up bringing back to the dealer and have them do the Pico meter test or starting the whole process all over again with a different dealership. Sucking the fun out of the car.

You need to find a better dealer. The right dealer will fight for you, not against you.
If you do find such a dealer, play the lotto.......

Well I just bought my first SS... 2016 1SS.

Had this exact problem after driving it for about 1000 miles had enough drive time to figure out what was normal and what wasn't.

I took it in to the dealership for warranty repair, and did the 3 x Tranny flush, but also I guess they won't replace the TC just yet, that is a last resort.... but what they did do that I'm not sure if they did for anyone else here is re-calibrated the Tranny and TC.

I can so far verify that the issue is no longer present. But we'll see what happens after I put 300 miles on the car next week.

They put my tranny into relearn mode after every flush.

Give it a few thousand. TC replacements are not cutting it either. Those who do drive the car (more than 3000 miles a year) think it's the slip tables. I'll probably do a tune if nothing else falls apart. Else it'll be traded for an A10 or better. Looking to pick up an A10 ZL1 shortly. So I might have an easier time just letting go, in a year or two.

How is that replacement TC treating you so far?

so far so good. I've got a pretty bad vibration that's cropped up but I believe it's tire related (constant vibration after about 60 mph. Uphill, down, load, no load, neutral, under power, it doesn't matter, it's there.) Also, I have almost 15k on stock tires (no burnouts, but the occasional hard corner), so I'm thinking they may be starting to cup. Feels like it's worse before they warm up also.

Good news about the transmission shudder being gone.

Regarding the tires, stock tires wear quickly IMO. I replaced mine at around 18,000. Not because of any vibration, just looking a little worn. Stayed with stock because they are so much fun in the corners.

I got report from the dealer yesterday that the Pico meter test did not show any transmission shudder. Funny, they determined it was bad enough to required a flush the first time. I am requesting the numbers from both the first and second test... I know, find a different dealer. I may.

shutter is back, shaking at 45-50mph under light load. I totally wish I would've gotten the m6 now. This is car is starting to bum me out. Was thinking about buying a new silverado in addition to this car. I'm not feeling great about all the problems new cars/trucks have for how much they cost.

What did they do for a fix. I was told the same as you "cold tires, normal operation" They did a single flush and will not go any further. Customer Care says to bring it to another service center. That is probably what i will do. If I had the money to loose, i would trade it in.
