Yeah I seemed to have better luck than you did but it may come down to track surface as NJMP Thunderbolt is abrasive. I corded my 3Rs after that day we did together so....
For the money I really like the Pirelli scrubs. I may get a bunch for next season and store them. |

Update: So I ran the SM-10s with no issues. Just make sure you buy the correct offset because the 18x11 come in two offsets for those who want to run square setups and run that size in the rear.

So last time out I ran the following:
Pirelli DH Front: 305/680/18 Rear: 325/680/18 I hit new personal bests with these tires and they are juuuuust at the point where the fronts are about to cord. I'm going to finish these off at Pocono this week and get some seat time. I'm not looking to do fast laps as the temps will be cooler. I'm just looking to ride and have fun. I just ordered the following: Pirelli DH Front: 305/660/18 Rear: 325/660/18 These have a shorter sidewall height and I think I should have ran these the first time around. I'll be using these for Labor Day weekend and will attempt to go even faster than last time. It will be my first time running these at Thunderbolt. The 1:29.5 laps I set last time out were on the Supercar 3R so if I can get some heat in these it'll be a nice comparison. Also, with the shorter sidewall I probably won't have to flash the ECM for the difference in circumference. Rather than start a new thread I will post up here. Watch this space. |
