BOLT ONS Questions! And GPI REMOTE TUNE !

Hey guys its me! Being annyoing again but im just a very paranoid person. HA.

Anyways i have me sitting in my room:
1 7/8 Speed Engineering Headers with 3 inch x pipe
Flex Fuel Sensor
Rotofab CAI
Corsa NPP
AEM Wideband
MPVI2 since I will be Remote tuning with GPI

If yall have a similar setup and tuned with GPI , hows it feel from stock? Alot different? A little different? More power? Smoother? EXPLAIN!

What are the cons of adding these bolt ons? Will I be hurting the motor long term? Will I be helping it breathe better due to the bolt ons? I do not dog the car everyday this is my daily driver so I just drive it to and from work everyday and ill do a pull every other day just for the heck of it!
Can these engines hold these bolt ons well? Im coming from Ford Performance world where the 5.0s can hold boost like crazy and just can rev up to the moon and back!

it's definitely noticeable. i don't have a gpi tune, but i know they're solid. my car has been bolt ons & ethanol for almost 25k miles, no issues.

I did all the same mods as you plus ported throttle body and ported LT2 intake manifold. No E85 around here so I can't comment on that. I have a trifecta tune. After doing the intake mods I could tell a difference at high RPMs, it pulled harder up to redline. After adding the headers and deleting the cats, I got noticable bump in low end power. I have an appointment on the 13 of next month to get it dyno'd, looking forward to it.

As for being hard on the engine, no. The thing with bolt ons is that you arnt pushing the car any harder, you're just unlocking the power that's already there. Don't beat the hell out of it and make sure your tune is good and your fine.

very similar to my first round of mods, except on the ZL1.
major difference. Assuming you have no header fitment issues, you will LOVE IT.
I think E85 makes the biggest difference, and makes the car feel like a fire breathing dragon!!!

Enjoy!

Literal night and day. Especially in E. Stock the car felt lazy sometimes. Now it’s very violent. They also up the rev limiter to 7K which sounds amazing m. No more fuel cut

It will wake the car up a lot. You will see power increase all the way through the powerband. If you have the coin I would get a ported lt2 or msd and a 95mm throttle body to add to the mods(you will also save the $100 on the retune if you were to do it afterwards). Reliability will stay as stock. Don’t take the car to 7k theres no need for it. Call up gpi if u have any questions. There awesome guys and will answer any questions you have. Remote tuning turnaround time with them is fantastic and quality of work and customer service is the best in the business.

Gpi takes the car up to 7k ? Even with no supporting mods to rev up higher ?

I’m not sure about this but there is no need to take ur car to 7k unless u want problems with you’re valve train. With you’re mods ur going to make peak power at like 5700.

with an msd i've been shifting my bolt on car at 6800 for the last couple of years. limiter is 6900 but it sees 7100 if you run it into the limiter in 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear.

The msd Carrys that power up top. Stock manifold I don’t see why you would take it to 7k but regardless should be a great start to a build.

Need to get rid of the AFM mechanicals and do a cam upgrade to really make it easy on the engine and get true benefits to twist close to 7k.....IMO

yeah the stock manifold is terrible. id guess gpi bumps the limiter up so there's little to no chance of getting into it. i shifted my ported LT1 manifold around 6400, no idea what it did for the et & mph, i didn't have a dragy then.

Ted Jannetty (Jannetty Racing) did the same thing for me on my manual 2015 stingray when he dyno tuned the car. Fuel shut off pushed out to 6700 versus 6600 so I wouldnt hit it. Very important on a manual trans car if your going to 1/4 mile the car.
