2019 PDR - Anyone notice any difference?

I know with the previous iterations - there is so much wind buffeting above 88mph that it makes the video unwatchable.

Curious as to whether anyone here has taken their cars to the track or experienced the PDR quality (in Mexico)?

The wind noise seems to be variable from car to car. It thankfully isn't bad on mine even up to 150+ MPH. (2018 Car)

That was a lot of wind noise IMO. Too bad the mic isn't mounted somewhere else, it'd be really nice to hear the engine and exhaust instead of the wind. I haven't used mine but I'm going to throw a memory card in there and hit the freeway tomorrow. Will let you know if there's any difference between the '18 and the '19.

Going 150 MPH with the windows down, there is a lot of wind noise in the cabin. I've seen a couple of PDR videos where the wind noise is louder than any other sound.

I have an 18 1LE with PDR, what are you all purchasing for SD Cards?

Is there a brand or specific specs that I should be looking for?

Thx,

Anyone take a 2019 on track and report back? Curious if the wind buffeting over 85mph is gone with the 2019.

My first time on track. Novice group. Fastest speed was 133mph in first vid if I recall. Both windows down. 1st vid skip ahead about 5m 30 sec or so, was stuck behind a blue car.

Top size = 32 GB card
Card format = FAT32

Not all cards are formatted to FAT32, so have to check that on a PC first.

you can use larger than 32 Gb they just say that because windows fat32 max size is 32. You can use a Mac or third party to format larger SD card Fat32

The mic is actually on the bottom of the camera. If you look at the cover that is behind the rear view mirror there is a small hole that is for the mic. If you are having issues I suppose you could try to cover that hole and see if it cuts the noise issue.
