That 5th harness is an anti-submarine strap. In the event of a crash, you'll likely slide underneath the harness and could be critically injured. Install the belts in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. There are VERY few 4 point belts that are designed to function properly.

When you pull the three point stock belts all the way out they ratchet and lock back in place.

I was always under the impression that this is how you are supposed to drive on the track with a stock harness, pull belt all the way out to ratchet, tighten, and then move seat a little to increase force in looser areas as needed.

Schrothe Quick Pro might be one that does, there video says it is anti submarining despite not being a 5 point.

Thoughts?

Do the SS has this functionality? On my SS all seats do have this feature, except for the driver’s seat.
