Wheel and tire fitment answers to the often asked questions...

I saw this posted elsewhere so I take no credit for it, but this absolutely should be stickied in this forum and on the wheel/tire forum for fitment info...

Quote below in case the link dies in the future (I've removed pics and some ApexRaceParts specific links/info to streamline this)...

Vehicle Covered in this Guide
2016-present Chevrolet Camaro

Chassis Introduction
The 6th generation of the Camaro debuted for the 2016 model year featuring an all-new chassis co-developed with Cadillac, nicknamed “Alpha”. This is arguably the greatest muscle car chassis to date and allowed Chevrolet to grab hold in the Pony Car wars. Every day, more owners are discovering just how much performance their cars are capable of.

OEM+ Fitments

Ideal for the driver who wants a no-nonsense direct bolt-on fitment. These fitments are a small step up from stock wheels and tires, and offer a small but noticeable performance improvement.

Square Setups
Recommended for most types of street and performance driving. Allows proper front-to-rear tire rotation to extend tire life & improve handling balance.

Front and Rear: 19x8.5” ET35 with 245/45-19 tires
Direct fit
255/40-19 tires can also be used as a direct fit
Front and Rear: 19x9” ET28 or ET30 with 255/40-19 tires
Direct fit
Front and Rear: 18x9” ET31 with 255/45-18 tires
Direct fit
Staggered Setups
Maintains stock-like handling characteristics, tires can only be rotated left to right. Maximizes both front and rear tire width.

Front: 18x8.5” ET35 with 235/50-18 tires
Rear: 18x9” ET31 with 255/45-18 tires
Direct fit
Grinding of the front steering knuckle may be required to clear the inner barrel. See below

Front: 18x9” ET30 with 255/45-18 tires
Rear: 18x9.5” ET35 with 275/40-18 tires
Direct fit
Grinding of the front steering knuckle may be required to clear the inner barrel. See below

Front: 19x8.5” ET20 with 245/40-19 tires
Rear: 19x9” ET28 with 255/40-19 tires
Direct fit
Front: 19x9” ET28 with 255/40-19 tires
Rear: 19x9.5” ET33 with 275/40-19 tires
Direct fit
275/35-19 and 285/35-19 can also be used on the rear

Performance Street/Track Fitments

These fitments are effective for both performance oriented street cars and weekend track warriors. The suspension type, alignment settings, and tire brand/size can be changed accordingly to work for either scenario.

Square Setups
Recommended for most types of street and performance driving. Allows proper front-to-rear tire rotation to extend tire life & improve handling balance.

Front and Rear: 18x9.5” ET35 with 275/40-18 tires
Popular fitment
Direct fit
Front and Rear: 18x10” ET25 with 285/40-18 tires
Popular fitment
5mm spacer required up front to clear MagnaRide Dampers
Grinding of the front steering knuckle may be required to clear the inner barrel. See below

Front and Rear: 19x9.5” ET33 with 275/40-19 tires
Direct fit
Front and Rear: 19x9.5” ET22 with 275/35-19 tires
Direct fit
255/40-19 tires can also be used as a direct fit
Front and Rear: 19x10” ET20 with 285/35-19 tires
This fitment produced with Camaro-specific center bore. No hubcentric rings required. Available early-mid 2019.
Direct fit
275/40-19 tires can also be used as a direct fit

Front: 19x11” ET11 - 305/30-19
Rear: 19x11” ET43 - 305/30-19
This fitment produced with Camaro-specific center bore. No hubcentric rings required. Available early-mid 2019.
315/30-19 tires can also be used as a direct fit
This is an aggressive fitment for the SS and SS 1LE since they do not have wider front fenders. Negative camber required front and rear to limit poke.
Direct fit with the wider ZL1 front fenders with stock alignment, however since the ZL1 is equipped with the bulkier MRC suspension, it is important to note that if you dial in camber at the spindle, you will have inner strut clearance issues up front. 5mm spacers would be necessary. If you dial in camber with adjustable camber plates, no spacers required.

Staggered Setups
Maintains stock-like handling characteristics, tires can only be rotated left to right. Maximizes both front and rear tire width.

Front: 18x10” ET25 with 275/40-18 tires
Rear: 18x11” ET44 with 305/35-18 tires
Direct fit
5mm spacer required up front to clear MagnaRide Dampers
Grinding of the front steering knuckle may be required to clear the inner barrel. See below

Front: 19x9” ET28 or ET30 with 255/40-19 tires
Rear: 19x10” ET25 with 285/35-19 tires
275/40-19 rear tires can also be used

Track/Race Fitments

These no-compromise fitments are ideal for dedicated track / race cars. They rely on aggressive negative camber specifications and often require rolled rear fenders to prevent rubbing. Since you'll be using all available real estate under the fender arches to accommodate these wide wheels, coilovers with linear race springs are a must for inner clearance (JRZ, MCS, Ground Control, AST, Moton, etc.).

Square Setups
Recommended for most types of street and performance driving. Allows proper front-to-rear tire rotation to extend tire life & improve handling balance.

Front and Rear: 18x10.5” ET22 with 305/35-18 tires
Direct fit
295/35-18 tires can also be used as a direct fit
5mm spacer required up front to clear MagnaRide Dampers
Grinding of the front steering knuckle may be required to clear the inner barrel. See below
Front and Rear: 19x10.5” ET22 with 305/30-19 tire
Direct fit
295/35-19 tires can also be used as a direct fit
5mm spacer required up front to clear MagnaRide Dampers
Front and Rear: 19x11” ET25 with 305/30-19 tires
10mm spacer required up front to clear most factory suspensions
15mm spacer required up front to clear MagnaRide Dampers

Staggered Setups
Maintains stock-like handling characteristics, tires can only be rotated left to right. Maximizes both front and rear tire width.

Front: 18x10.5” ET22 with 285/35-18 tires
Rear: 18x11” ET44 with 305/35-18 tires
5mm spacer required up front to clear MagnaRide Dampers
Grinding of the front steering knuckle may be required to clear the inner barrel. See below

Front: 19x10” ET20 with 285/35-19 tires
Rear: 19x11” ET43 with 325/30-19 tires
This fitment produced with Camaro-specific center bore. No hubcentric rings required. Available early-mid 2019.
Direct fit
Can also use 305/30-19 in the rear but they are short (and better suited with 275/35-19 front tires)

Front: 19x11” ET11 with 305/30-19 tires
Rear: 19x12” ET41 with 325/30-19 tires
This fitment produced with Camaro-specific center bore. No hubcentric rings required. Available early-mid 2019.
This is an aggressive fitment for the SS and SS 1LE since they do not have wider front fenders. Negative camber required front and rear to limit poke.

Additional Fitment Information

Steering knuckle clearance
Certain widths and offsets in the 18” diameter will require you to grind a small portion off of the front steering knuckle. Below are some pictures of the problem areas. This is only an issue with wider 18” wheels as the inside lip of 19” wheels will fit over the top without issue (click images to enlarge).

One of their recommendations-

Front: 19x11” ET11 - 305/30-19
Rear: 19x11” ET43 - 305/30-19

A variation on this that CAN be rotated is to run 19x11" ET41 on all four corners, with a 30mm bolt-on spacer in front to get an effective offset of ET11. I autocrossed this setup all year, it enabled front/rear rotation and worked great.

I sold my Camaro, so there is a good chance I'll have these wheels for sale soon. (unless I change my mind and buy another Camaro)
