I like that they got rid of the weird bumper lines at the upper portion but why the new weirder lower crease? Now it looks like the rear bumper is a two piece overlapping thing. All they did was complicate it. Should have just smoothed the top part that nobody really liked and left the rest alone.

Chevy sold me on Camaro's performance, but I also bought the car because the looks of the SS appealed to me. If you gave me that option today between a 2019 and a new Mustang, I'd lean towards the Mustang. Even if I am sacrificing performance.
I almost bought a Mustang until I found out more about the PP2 package and was let down a bit. I knew the Camaro performance was better but I still liked the mustang's looks better... until i saw a 1LE in person. Bought the 1LE.

If not for the 1LE, there would be a Mustang or Challenger in my garage.

Same here. Although the overall package of the 1LE sold me, not just the looks. It's incredible what you get for your money, kudos to Chevy for pulling it off.

At first I was like...hmm, maybe not so bad, then in the second picture I was thinking "nope, still don't like".

The '16 had some design cues that were very specific to the car, kind of building on the older '10 design and making leaner and more aggressive with it's own personality (nostrils, ZL1, various front-ends, etc.), this '19 starts to take too many design cues from other cars IMO, like dodge. Then it appears to be trying to replicate something else, than standing on it's own.

Every time i look at the new RL pix a see new angles and details and like it better and better. Thuese red pix tell a lot imo. The official GM blue pix simply suck completely and to some degree show a car with different details actually.

Thank you @Dolby109 & @AN0NYM0US for posting the photos this eve.

Opinions after seeing the car in person? Better, worse, different?

Surprisingly better, at least for the red and black wheels combo, I was in a hurry though I didn’t take my time to make a judgment...

I think that red will look awesome in 1LE trim.
It is surprising (and good) to see that the front black belt is not at all flat as shown in first GM pix.
It all is starting to make a lot more sense to me styling wise. One question tho: since these cars are prototypes who the heck is driving them?

The front would look 10,000 times better if the center crash bar were in body color.

So I spent a couple minutes and mocked that up. :P

Question

I wonder if the new SS 1LE would come out also with the A10 automatic transmission? That should be a major hit.

More fun to drive than the Corvette Stingray Z51?
