TM and TCC question

I'm curious....... if Torque Management has been eliminated, is it possible to still retain TCC slip? I guess I could see issues with doing that and it seems tuners usually eliminate the TCC slip (or at least they have in my case). But I'm wondering if its possible to have TCC slip with TM deleted without doing damage or seeing excessive temps.

perhaps if I ask it this way, can you delete torque management but leave all other factory trans settings in place without causing damage?

I wouldn't...there isn't enough line pressure commanded and you will get a soft slipping shifts with all TM and up shift TR disabled. That will eat the clutches up fast. Shift time, inertia, shift pressure need adjusted, then you can turn off TM/TR and it will shift nice and firm. Believe it or not firm shifts are better for the trans then soft slip shifts.

Keep in mind I posted this based on a stock tune A8. I didn't know you had a tuned A10... Either way if you are tuned, then I would contact the tuner and see if he will adjust it to your liking.

When you zero out the TCC slip tables it makes the trans behave more erratic...mainly on down shifts(at least on the A8's).

Yah, wasn't trying to leave info out but I was asking the question from the perspective of starting another tune from the stock TCM file. In other words, a second "tune" so to speak.
