Stock Mid Pipe

Im about to purchase a set of TSP headers and was wondering if its worth it to buy the headers with the catted xpipe or just buy the headers with catted connection pipes and leave the stock mid pipe?

Also do i need to buy the extras like the msd super conductor wires, 6mm tunnel plate spacer, fire sleeves or header bolt.

I have this same question but I'm going with the offroad pipes or x pipe. Is their an advantage going with the x pipe over stock?

I did 1 7/8" TSP headers with catted connection to the stock mid section and NPP. From what I've researched and read there is no power advantage to replacing the stock mid section. The stock system already has an X-pipe configuration so no need to replace with another x-pipe section. If the crushed pipe section bothers you then that would be the only reason to replace it.

I re-used the stock manifold bolts, plugs, and wires. I did install a set of high temp boots, I think that's a must! I also had the headers ceramic coated to help reduce heat.
